Dear Council Members,
 
I did speak at Thursday's meeting but had not yet read the article in 
Thursday's Courant stating that the BOE had approved(4 to 3)two 
additional teaching positions to accomodate 19 expected students in 
Hall and Conard at a cost of $100,000. Even board chairman Darcey 
recognized the town's tight budget situation and stated the increase 
was not merited!
This is another case of the BOE being totally out of control and 
giving No consideration to the burden of the taxpayers. 
Your strong responsible leadership is needed to bring some reality to 
the school budget situation and demand a sizable reduction on behalf 
of the overburdened taxpayers. This is especially critical in view of 
the reassessment.
